Ethiopia is on its fourth framework, the UN Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF), jointly developed by the Government and the United Nations Country Team. The UNDAF is the key programming instrument of the Delivering as One (DaO) process in Ethiopia. The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)
At the United Nations Millennium Summit in 2000, 189 Member States adopted the Millennium Declaration and pledged to reach the eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by 2015. This represented an unprecedented consensus by world leaders on the major global challenges of the 21st century as well as a common commitment to meet these challenges.
The Declaration and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) contained within it, set out a vision of inclusive development that expands the choices of all people in segments of society, and prioritizes the elimination of structural, institutional and cultural obstacles to participation in development. Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP)
Ethiopia’s Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP) is the first of a three five-year plan to propel the country toward a climate resilient middle income status. More than 190 world leaders met on September 27, 2015 and adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at the UN Headquarters in New York.
