Ethiopian Youth Advisory Board to the UN Youth Taskforce
Ensuring the voice of youth to address the needs of youth in Ethiopia
Do you have what it takes to be a change maker? The United Nations Country Team is looking for talented, motivated and innovative young people to join a UN youth advisory board. The board will advise and support the UN youth Taskforce, including facilitating consultations with the rest of youth in Ethiopia.
By the joining the youth advisory board, you will engage with the UN Country Team at various levels and learn more about the UN’s work in Ethiopia
To join or nominate someone
i. Candidate should be Ethiopian citizen;
ii. Candidate should be 18– 35 years of age;
iii. Ability to effectively communicate in English and Amharic with UN Youth taskforce;
iv. Highly knowledgeable about challenges of youth in Ethiopia and able to recommend strategic interventions to address them;
v. Candidate should be an active member of a youth organization or involved in any special youth or community initiative etc for at least a period of two (2) years; involved in a High School, University or community initiative; established entrepreneur.

Background: The United Nations Country Team (UNCT) in Ethiopia is made up of 29 UN Agencies. The UNCT has set up an inter-agency youth taskforce to guide the implementation of UN youth programmes for Ethiopia as part of a wider engagement around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
