Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UN AIDS)

The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV (UNAIDS) provides key strategic support to Government of Ethiopia in accelerating HIV prevention, care and treatment; as well as in

the extension of social support to reach sustainable universal access as mandated by the UN Political Declaration on HIV/AIDS (2011). 

 

The Joint UN Programme of Support for HIV brings together the resources of the UNAIDS Secretariat and eleven Co-Sponsor system organizations for coordinated and accountable efforts to unite the world against AIDS and in realization of shared vision of Zero new HIV infections, Zero discrimination and Zero AIDS related deaths. The Co-sponsors are UNHCR, UNICEF, WFP, UNFPA, UNODC, ILO, UNESCO, WHO, World Bank, UNDP, UN Women and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
