Resident Coordinator

The UNCT is led by the UN Resident Coordinator. Designated as the 'ONE Leader' under the Delivering as One agenda, the RC takes the lead on common issues that requires the UN Country Team to speak with one voice, and presents a common UN position. She guides the strategic development and management of the Delivering as One and promotes joint decisions including all members of the Country Team. The UN Resident Coordinator is also the UN Humanitarian Coordinator and UNDP Resident representative.

The UN Resident Coordinator's Office provides direct support to the UN Resident Coordinator and the UN Country Team, including advisory, technical, and organizational and management support.

Annual Reports of the UN Resident Coordinator (RCAR) in Ethiopia

The Resident Coordinator Annual Report (RCAR) is an essential element of the accountability and results framework for UN operational activities. The RCAR provides an opportunity for UN Country Teams (UNCTs), under the leadership of the Resident Coordinator, to review their collective results, share good practices in support of national development plans and priorities, share lessons learned in coordination and common programming; improve their planning process and identify the support they need from Headquarters and Regional Directors Teams.
